Qualifications and Preferred Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas SLP license or eligibility for Texas licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs considered
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Dedication to collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students
- Create and execute individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and families to support student development
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of services, progress reports, and evaluations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students
- Offer support and resources to teachers and parents regarding student communication challenges
- Stay current with best practices, regulations, and continuing education requirements
