You’ll be part of a collaborative team environment, providing direct therapy and assessments, advising families, and helping manage essential assistive technology.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active or eligible RIDE PK-12 Speech-Language Pathologist certification
- ASHA CCC-SLP credential required
- Experience in a school-based SLP setting, including direct and consultative therapy
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly with fluid caseloads, adapting to varying school needs
- Commitment to equity and inclusion when working with students from multi-lingual and multicultural backgrounds
- Comfort with AAC and assistive technology, or willingness to learn
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students (approx. 60 per caseload, may vary)
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and family members
- Advise on learning strategies and facilitate parent engagement
- Set up and manage AAC devices and other assistive technology
- Participate in team meetings and IEP processes
