School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pawtucket, Rhode Island

We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract position, with part-time options available, beginning in August and extending through June 2027. As the go-to SLP for a preschool program, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, providing assessment, evaluations, and direct therapy services. This role offers the chance to hone your skills with the pediatric population and be a positive force in their communication and academic growth.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience with preschool or pediatric populations preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of assessment and therapy protocols for early childhood
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech/language assessments and evaluations
- Delivering individualized and group therapy to preschool-aged children
- Developing and updating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Keeping accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participating in team meetings and professional development
