School Speech Language Pathologist - Paterson, New Jersey

This full-time contract position is located near Paterson, NJ, with a consistent weekday schedule of 8:15AM-3:15PM, totaling 35 hours per week. The role begins ASAP and continues through June 25, 2027, serving a diverse caseload at a local school site.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Active NJ SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Prior experience delivering speech-language services in school settings
- Up-to-date on TB test, physical examination, and fingerprinting for both agency and district
- Ability to independently provide diagnostic evaluations, manage testing/assessments, and create therapy plans for an elementary caseload
- Comfortable working collaboratively within district protocols and adapting to campus procedures
- Reliable transportation for on-site work; close commuting distance expected
- Candidates must supply their own testing materials as per district policy
- Please note: Clinical Fellows (CF) and SLPAs are not eligible due to supervision requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and intervention services for students with diverse communication needs
- Complete assessments, re-evaluations, and progress reports within mandated timelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure IEP compliance
- Participate in brief, 15-minute interviews as part of a streamlined recruitment process
