ProCare Therapy has an opening for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment in Palo Alto, California. Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services for students ages 3 through 8th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ communication needs.
- Provide direct speech-language services while tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals to support student goals.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and educational teams.
- Manage a caseload of up to 55 students across assigned school sites.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and school credential required.
- Fully credentialed SLP candidates only; CF candidates cannot be supported for this assignment.
- Bilingual SLP candidates preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric populations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates needing support with state requirements.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services to students across a variety of age groups preferred.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability when supporting diverse student needs.
Education:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Work Hours:
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 37.5 billable hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract Dates:
August 4, 2026 – June 4, 2027
