Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Several opportunities are available for passionate and skilled SLPs to support diverse learners across multiple school sites in the Port St. Lucie and Ft. Pierce areas. Positions range from full-time to part-time, with flexible schedules designed to accommodate your availability. Both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply—some assignments offer seasoned SLP support.
What you’ll bring:
- Active FL Speech-Language Pathology license
- Experience delivering school-based SLP services
- Familiarity working with K-12 populations, including ASD and Indicated Disabilities (InD) units
- Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting (can use previous AHCA clearinghouse records)
- Commitment to on-site presence for badge pickup and service delivery
Your impact:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders across varied caseloads (K-12, ASD, InD, and high school)
- Develop IEPs and provide individualized therapy, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Work closely with other SLPs and support personnel within assigned schools
- Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Cover for maternity leaves as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Contract options include both full-time (35 hrs/week) and part-time (14-21 hrs/week) roles. Assignments are for the full academic year (through June 1, 2027), with select roles providing exposure to unique caseloads, strong mentorship, and collaborative teams. You may be assigned to one or two schools, based on need and your preferences.
