Step into a rewarding contract role providing speech-language pathology services for K-8 students in vibrant schools near Vero Beach, FL. Flexible scheduling options are available, whether you prefer part-time (14-21 hours per week) or full-time (35 hours per week). Positions can be combined to craft a full-time schedule if desired. Assignments will span one or two schools, depending on your schedule and availability.
You’ll support individualized needs for students ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade, collaborating with welcoming school teams or working independently to make a lasting impact. Start as soon as possible, with assignments running through early June 2027.
Your qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license is required.
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Commitment to completing all district-mandated credentialing, including fingerprinting (prior AHCA prints can be accepted).
- Willingness to come onsite to pick up a district ID badge before the start date.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students in K-8 grades.
- Manage a caseload tailored to the assigned school(s)—from PK resource therapy to elementary and middle school support.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Maintain timely records and progress documentation.
- Engage as part of a team or operate independently, meeting the unique needs of each school.
