School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Oxford, Michigan
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in a dynamic educational environment near Oxford, MI. You’ll make an immediate impact, helping school-aged children with communication needs advance socially, academically, and personally through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
This full-time, onsite position offers a unique schedule: rather than commuting between sites in a single day, you’ll focus on one school each day across four closely located campuses. Your caseload will primarily include approximately ten students at each site, with a mix of general education students needing speech support, as well as students with mild cognitive or autism spectrum needs. There are no students with severe impairments, fostering an atmosphere where progress is measurable and genuinely rewarding.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP credential required
- Eligibility for Michigan SLP licensure
- Demonstrated experience supporting school-aged children, preferably in educational settings
- Comfort working independently onsite across multiple locations
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services in both group and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with educational teams, families, and fellow professionals to support student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and manage compliance with IEP requirements
- Participate in staff meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
