Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Old Town, FL
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ communication growth in a school setting serving upper elementary and middle to high school learners. This contract-based role is ideal for speech-language pathologists passionate about making a positive, lasting impact on student lives. You’ll work closely with a dynamic educational community, focusing on students in grades 4–12 through a combination of consultative and group services.
Your schedule is designed for flexibility, with 25 hours over 2–3 days per week. The position runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with potential extension through June 18 for additional meetings. You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, with most receiving support via consultation or group sessions, allowing you to creatively engage each student in their individual progress.
Essential Qualifications
- Active and valid Florida SLP license required
- Experience or readiness to work with pediatric and adolescent populations (grades 4–12)
- CCC or CFY status welcomed
- Previous school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable communication style
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver group and consultative speech-language therapy to diverse learners
- Craft and implement targeted IEP goals and intervention plans
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust supports as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student potential
- Attend meetings (including possible post-session dates into June)
