About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in a private/parochial school setting in Oak Park, Illinois. This is a part-time opportunity supporting a diverse caseload of students with mild to moderate speech and language needs.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve their communication goals while collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to support student success.


Qualifications Required

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Illinois Speech-Language Pathology licensure and credentials required for school-based practice
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Position Details

  • Discipline: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Hours: 15–18 hours per week
  • Start Date: August 26, 2026
  • End Date: June 9, 2027
  • Interview Process: 1:1 interview, with possible panel interview
  • Hiring Timeline: Decision and offer can be made ASAP

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in grades 3–12.
  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Support students with:
    • Articulation disorders
    • Phonological disorders
    • Mild to moderate speech and language diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with school personnel and families as needed.

Preferred

  • Previous school-based experience
  • Experience working with upper elementary, middle school, and high school students
