This full-time contract opportunity offers a set schedule from 8:15am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, providing 35 hours per week in a supportive and collaborative environment near Oak Forest, IL.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CFY will also be considered
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech and language abilities using standardized tools and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students across a diverse caseload, ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Complete thorough and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and participation in IEP meetings
- Support and mentor paraprofessionals or assistants as needed
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development as required
