School Speech and Language Pathologist | O Fallon, Illinois
Step into a dynamic educational environment serving K-12th grade students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This rewarding role calls for experienced SLPs who are passionate about helping students build their communication skills and reach their full academic potential. Starting as soon as possible and running through June 5th, 2026, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact across an entire school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) required—applications without PEL will not be considered
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) accepted
- Previous experience within a K-12 school setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in accordance with school and state regulations
- Serve as a valued resource for school staff, equipping the team with strategies to support students’ speech and language development
