This engaging role focuses on providing exceptional support to a diverse group of 40 students with moderate to profound communication deficits, all at a single location near Norwalk, CT. Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid or eligible SLP licensure in Connecticut
- Prior experience in K-8 school settings preferred
- Proficiency with AAC devices is essential
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct therapy for students with a range of communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student engagement and progress
- Maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Educate school staff on best practices for supporting students with speech and language needs
