Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | North Tonawanda, New York
This contract position offers an opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services in an elementary school setting, working with students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The assignment is based in North Tonawanda, NY, serving one school site on a part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary students utilizing a caseload model
- Work 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 22.5 hours weekly
- Provide services primarily through direct therapy sessions, with designated indirect/admin time included
- Participate in paid team meetings and collaborate with school staff to support student progress
- Utilize electronic IEP systems as trained by the district
- Travel within assignment area as required, with paid travel time
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State SLP license required
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings, ideally within K-5 grade levels
- Comfort with teletherapy and in-person service delivery models
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to provide supervision (for CFY candidates, supervision may be provided by the district)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
