Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Avondale, CO
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students through the next school year near Avondale, CO! This full-time role offers a unique four-day work week (Monday–Thursday), with optional professional development Fridays to help you grow as a clinician. As a Speech-Language Pathologist with your CCC, you'll work alongside an experienced SLPA, managing a caseload of approximately 70 students across two school sites.
Your expertise will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive speech-language services in an inclusive and collaborative educational setting, leveraging your background in pediatrics, teletherapy, and clinical practice.
Desired Background:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practicing SLP in educational settings
- Experience with pediatric populations, ideally within PK-12 schools
- Comfortable collaborating with SLPA support and working in a team-based environment
- Proficiency in teletherapy modalities is a plus
- Welcome to Clinical Fellows (CFY) as well as seasoned professionals
What You'll Tackle:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language interventions to a diverse caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Utilize teletherapy technology for remote service delivery as needed
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student progress
- Optionally attend Friday professional development activities to enhance your skillset
