School Speech Therapist | Oneonta, New York

This contract-to-hire opportunity allows you to apply your expertise and passion, working closely with dedicated staff to support students’ communication skills during standard school hours (8 a.m.–2:30 p.m.), for a total of 32.5 hours each week.
Ideal candidates will bring their credentials and compassion, serving both CSE (Committee on Special Education) and speech improvement students to foster academic, social, and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid or eligible state licensure for Speech-Language Pathologists
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to providing individualized and group therapy to diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services for elementary-aged students identified through CSE as well as those needing speech improvement support
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement IEPs and targeted therapy plans
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate outcomes effectively
- Provide guidance and training for school staff regarding speech and language development
- Participate in CSE meetings and contribute valuable insights to multidisciplinary teams
