Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid SLP or SLPA licensure for Virginia
- Minimum of one year’s schools-based experience; new graduates are not eligible for this position
- Proficiency working with PreK-12 student populations with varying speech and language needs
- Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and therapy sessions for students with diverse speech and language challenges
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and families to support students’ progress across school environments
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school-based initiatives
This position offers a consistent schedule with 37.5 work hours per week and exposure to a variety of age groups and caseloads.
