Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Paterson, NJ
Step into a rewarding role working with young learners in an inclusive educational setting this fall! We're seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist to support a dynamic caseload while covering a maternity leave. The assignment runs from September 8 through October 20, with the possibility of extension depending on needs. You'll work weekdays, 9am–3pm, serving a population of preschool and early elementary students (ages 3–8), including those in self-contained classrooms and students with multiple disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and preschool disabilities.

Desired Background and Skills:
- SLP licensure (Clinical Fellowship Year candidates welcome)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations
- Familiarity with students who have multiple disabilities, ASD, and early childhood developmental challenges
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and monitor progress
- Document services and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
