A School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in New York, NY. This contract role requires providing specialized speech-language services within a school setting for two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational staff and parents.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare reports as required.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students' educational goals.
- Adhere to all school and district policies, as well as state and federal regulations related to speech-language services.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification/license to practice in the state.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
- Experience working within school settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain compliance with service delivery schedules.
