Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - New York, New York
This position offers a unique opportunity for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support high school students in New York, NY on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). The role involves providing targeted speech and language therapy services to adolescents, helping enhance their communication abilities within an educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State SLP Licensure
- Experience or certification in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Familiarity with teletherapy methods is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and school personnel
Location:
- New York, NY, serving a high school population
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for high school students
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Utilize teletherapy techniques when appropriate to ensure continuous support
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
Work Schedule:
- 2 days per week
- 4.5 to 5 hours per week, allowing for a focused and flexible commitment
