Qualifications:
- Active Illinois SLP license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Speech-Language Pathology in Illinois required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Experience working in early childhood or preschool settings strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Passion for working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings for early childhood students
- Develop and implement effective, evidence-based therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress notes in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Facilitate communication skills development, including speech, language, social/pragmatic, and augmentative communication
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, staff training, and required professional development
- Support transition planning and provide consultation to staff and parents as needed
