Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting preschoolers as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. Begin as soon as possible and make an impact through the end of June, with flexibility on assignment length to fit your plans. Working 7 hours a day, Monday through Friday (aligned with the school calendar), you’ll provide vital services to children aged 3-4 years, managing a preschool caseload of 40-50 students in a dynamic, collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience working with preschool-aged children strongly preferred
- Ability to tailor assessment and intervention to young learners’ needs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of best practices in early childhood language development
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) appropriate for preschool students
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support speech and language development
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and update IEPs as needed
- Provide engaging, play-based interventions that foster positive early learning experiences
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, inclusive school community
