Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for California and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Previous experience delivering speech therapy services in educational environments, particularly with middle school-aged students
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Ability to manage assessments, documentation, and intervention planning independently and efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans, tailored to meet a middle school caseload’s unique needs
- Track student progress through meticulous documentation and regular reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to devise strategies that enhance communication development and student participation
- Attend IEP meetings as a key member of the support team, offering insights to help shape students’ educational experiences
- Provide individual and group therapy, addressing a range of speech and language difficulties
