Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for California (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Recent experience working within a school setting, preferably with middle school students
- Strong ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and parents
- Proficiency in screening, assessment, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse middle school caseload while delivering both individual and group therapy
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop tailored treatment plans to address each student’s unique needs
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the IEP process
- Cultivate positive relationships with students to foster engagement and trust
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in line with district and state guidelines
- Provide consultation and resources to teachers and families to support student growth across settings
