Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Mount Airy, MD
Step into an exciting opportunity to support student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a contract assignment running from October 1st through June 4th. This role spans several elementary sites, providing the chance to collaborate with diverse teams and make a positive impact on students across multiple campuses.
You'll work with a caseload of approximately 35-45 students, helping to foster strong communication skills that set the stage for lifelong learning. This full-time position offers consistent hours from 8:00am to 3:00pm, providing structure to your week and allowing you to focus on meaningful, individualized therapy for students.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Maryland State SLP license required
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based settings is highly desired
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Passion for supporting elementary-aged students in their developmental journeys
What You'll Do:
- Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and screenings as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Engage in virtual interviews as part of the process
