Qualifications:

  • Current SLP (ASHA) certification; must hold state of Alabama SLP and professional educator licenses (check status at https://tcert.alsde.edu/Portal/Public/Pages/SearchCerts.aspx)
  • Accepting both SLP-CCC and CF (Clinical Fellow) applicants
  • Experience or interest in servicing elementary and/or middle school-aged students
  • Willingness to supervise CFs if holding CCCs
  • Competence with managing a caseload of approximately 60 students, potentially across two sites

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct assessment and therapy to students with speech/language disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Maintain records and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists
  • Supervise and mentor SLP Clinical Fellows (for CCC-SLPs)
  • Adapt to the needs of one or two school locations
