Job Description
We are seeking a qualified School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Richfield Public School District for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time SLP position supports high school students and secondary transition-age learners by providing speech, language, and communication services in a special education setting.
The SLP will help students develop functional communication skills needed for academic success, independence, employment readiness, and post-secondary goals. This role includes collaboration with special education teachers, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students through individualized education programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities
Provide school-based speech and language therapy services to high school students
Complete speech-language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
Support students with language disorders, communication needs, social communication, AAC, and functional communication skills
Provide secondary transition support focused on post-high school success, career readiness, and independent living skills
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and school staff
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Support student growth through evidence-based speech therapy practices
Qualifications
Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Minnesota
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Experience with special education, IEPs, and transition services is a plus
