School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mill Valley, California

This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated SLP who thrives in collaborative school settings and enjoys working with middle school-aged students. With a manageable caseload of around 25 students, including at least one AAC user, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on student communication and learning.
The position runs from August 19, 2026, to June 11, 2027, and offers part-time work—about two days a week—with a flexible schedule coordinated directly with the principal. School hours begin at 8:35am, so you’ll have ample time to plan sessions that fit your preferred work-life balance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid California CTC (credential or permit required for school-based SLPs)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Previous experience in a school environment, particularly with middle school-aged children
- Familiarity with supporting students who utilize AAC devices
- Ability to handle a mid to moderate caseload efficiently and compassionately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized communication plans for students
- Deliver integrated speech-language therapy—both group and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to foster best outcomes
- Document progress and prepare required reports
- Support student participation in school activities and inclusive learning
