As a Speech-Language Pathologist working on-site in a school environment, you’ll collaborate with dedicated teams and help students from diverse backgrounds and age ranges develop essential speech and language skills. This contract opportunity runs through the end of May 2026 with a full-time schedule, providing you a chance to make meaningful progress with your caseload.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Virginia SLP license
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage various caseloads
- Collaborative team player, comfortable with SLPA supervision and working alongside facilitators
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying site assignments and age groups
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct and consultative services to help students succeed academically and socially
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Work closely with SLPAs and on-site facilitators to maximize student support
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and administrators regarding student progress
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed (assignments TBD)
