Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP in Virginia
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing goals, and delivering direct therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both one-on-one and small group
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with classroom teachers and other staff to support accommodations and classroom strategies
- Serve as a communication resource for parents and educators, providing guidance and recommendations as needed
