Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid SLP license for the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially working with middle school students, preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate regularly with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as a core member of the student support team
- Provide input on classroom strategies and accommodations to foster student success
- Engage in ongoing professional learning related to speech-language pathology in school settings
