Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) to practice in the school setting
- Previous experience working in educational environments strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning spaces
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Deliver direct therapy and intervention—both individual and group sessions—to meet students’ unique needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers and parents to support student progress
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and strategies for classroom adaptations that enhance communication
