Providing specialized speech-language services for young learners ages 3 to 7, this role is designed for an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in pediatrics and school settings. The position involves working within a travel assignment located in Melvindale, MI, primarily serving early childhood and elementary school students.

Responsibilities include conducting initial child find evaluations for children aged 3 to 5, delivering targeted therapy within an Early Childhood Special Education classroom, supporting an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom for kindergarten and first grade, and providing speech-language services to cross-categorical classes spanning kindergarten through second grade. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, offering consistent hours and an opportunity to impact young students’ communication development directly.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification and experience in Speech-Language Pathology, including SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically ages 3-7
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy models and Early Childhood Special Education programs
  • Skilled in performing comprehensive speech-language evaluations and individualizing treatment plans
  • Experience providing teletherapy services is a plus
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or completed
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
