Provide specialized support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic K-12 school setting. This role involves working with students across all grade levels, from elementary through high school, to assist speech-language pathologists in delivering effective communication interventions tailored to diverse student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students in grades K-12.
  • Support students’ communication skills development in individual or group settings.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning.

Qualifications:

  • Active state SLPA License.
  • Experience working with students across multiple grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high school.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow therapeutic protocols and adapt to student needs.
  • Commitment to student growth and educational support.

Location: Prospect Heights, IL

Details:

  • Contract position with a start date as soon as possible.
  • Duration: Through the end of the current school year with excellent potential for renewal.
  • Schedule: 35 hours per week, 5 days a week.
  • Age Group Served: Kindergarten through 12th grade.
