Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Mechanicsville, VA
Opportunities are available for two full-time Speech-Language Pathologists to provide onsite services in a school setting serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Mechanicsville, VA. This contract position offers the chance to support a diverse caseload of pediatric clients in a dynamic educational environment.
Candidates must hold a valid VA SLP license and possess experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, with skills spanning teletherapy, healthcare settings, and completion of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. The role is ideal for those who have completed their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and are licensed specifically for school-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to K-12 students with a variety of communication disorders
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student communication outcomes
- Utilize teletherapy techniques when appropriate to augment onsite services
- Maintain accurate documentation and caseload records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia
- Experience working within school-based settings, preferably across grades K-12
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric speech-language disorders
- Familiarity with teletherapy modalities and pediatric healthcare environments
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and possession of CCC is highly desirable
