An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to serve students during the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position is located in Martinsburg, WV, and also includes service responsibilities in Charles Town, WV. The role requires professionals who are licensed and certified to provide speech and language therapy services within a school setting.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid West Virginia SLP License and West Virginia Teaching Certification, or West Virginia SLPA License
- Experience working in schools with children requiring speech and language support
- Familiarity with teletherapy practices is a plus
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred for SLP candidates
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and students
Location:
- Primary work sites include Martinsburg, WV and Charles Town, WV
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Provide therapy through direct services and teletherapy as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports consistent with school policies
- Participate in school meetings and professional development activities
