Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ speech and language development across multiple schools in the Burnsville, NC area. This role is ideal for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) who thrives on collaboration and individualized support for children from pre-K to 12th grade, with a primary focus on K-5. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), making a meaningful difference throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Successful completion of DHHS Pre-K background check
- Experience with school-aged populations preferred
- Proficiency in ECATS documentation and IEP management
- Ability to manage caseloads of 40–50 students, adapting services for various ages and settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech therapy for students at three sites, including traditional schools, Head Start, and a local private school
- Document sessions and progress in ECATS in a timely and accurate manner
- Complete all necessary IEP paperwork: contribute to present levels, write goals, and determine service times
- Serve as case manager for students whose primary diagnosis is Speech Impaired, including organizing IEP meetings and facilitating communications
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other service providers
- Oversee and work collaboratively with SLPA support as needed
Job Details:
- Two contract positions available
- 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
- August 6, 2026 (teacher start) to June 2, 2027
