Your primary responsibilities will center around an elementary caseload, working directly with 70-80 students per campus to assess communication needs, develop and implement IEPs, and provide high-quality speech and language therapy. As part of your role, you will supervise and mentor SLPAs, fostering professional growth and ensuring program excellence. This position is most likely itinerant, offering dynamic experiences across multiple sites and teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLP licensure with CCC, and current Texas credentials
- Previous schools-based SLP experience essential
- Comfortable managing elementary-level caseloads
- Skilled in developing and executing speech-language therapy in educational settings
- Experience supervising or mentoring SLPAs highly desirable
- Willingness to support Clinical Fellows a plus
- Must be able to travel between school sites as needed
- Commitment to direct, on-campus services (not telepractice)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based speech-language therapy to students
- Complete assessments, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
