Ideal candidates are experienced Speech-Language Pathologists with a strong background in school-based settings, holding current SLP-CCC credentials. You’ll play a key role in fostering student communication skills, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute your leadership by supervising SLPAs, ensuring quality across services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for SLP
- Prior experience working in school settings required
- Experience or comfort supervising SLPAs, particularly at the elementary level
- Able to manage and prioritize caseloads of 70-80 students
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility for itinerant roles across elementary campuses
Primary Responsibilities:
- Direct evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for elementary students with speech and language disorders
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and support for SLPAs onsite
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with school staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for student progress
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input on students’ speech and language goals
- Support educational teams and families in understanding student needs
- Adhere to all district, state, and federal requirements
