This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) who have previous school-based experience and are ready to take on a supervisory aspect by guiding SLPAs across elementary campuses.
As part of this dynamic setting, you will be working with caseloads of 70-80 students per campus, focusing on providing speech and language therapy, assessments, and progress monitoring. The role comes with a full-time, extended school year schedule, allowing you to form meaningful relationships with students and collaborate closely with dedicated education teams. The itinerary-style position gives you the chance to work across multiple elementary campuses, providing variety and professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC required
- Texas state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- At least one year of previous experience in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP writing, and special education processes in schools
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
- Confident communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable traveling between sites as needed
- Must not require Voco (teletherapy) placement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers
- Supervise and support assigned SLPAs, providing feedback and mentorship
- Manage caseload documentation and progress reporting for assigned campuses
