Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid license (or eligibility) for SLP practice in NY
- Experience serving K-12 caseloads preferred but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with school personnel, families, and students
- Adaptability and passion for advancing student outcomes
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based treatment for students with communication and speech disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and assessments
- Participate in school meetings and contribute expertise in speech-language pathology to the educational team
- Encourage and motivate students to reach their fullest communicative potential
