The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and continues through November 6, 2026, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with 40 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP license in Colorado (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting working with K-5 students
- Proficient in assessing and treating articulation, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency, and social-pragmatic communication
- Experience and competency utilizing high-tech AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations with a range of mild to severe needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services for articulation, language, fluency, pragmatic communication, and AAC needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support each student’s learning goals
- Maintain clear, organized documentation and progress reporting in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide guidance and support to classroom staff regarding speech and language strategies
- Adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure successful student outcomes
