Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Cascade, CO
Make a meaningful impact supporting K-5th grade students by providing speech-language therapy in an engaging school environment. This full-time contract assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through November 6, 2026, and offers a rewarding opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of communication needs, ranging from mild to severe challenges. You will help students advance their articulation, receptive and expressive language skills, fluency, social-pragmatic communication, and successful use of high-tech AAC systems.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience with school-aged children, especially in K-5 populations
- Solid knowledge of assessment tools and techniques for articulation, language, fluency, and AAC
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy focusing on articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and pragmatic communication
- Provide instruction and support for high-tech augmentative and alternative communication devices
- Collaborate proactively with educators, caregivers, and other related service providers
- Monitor student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt therapy approaches for a range of mild to severe needs
