School Speech and Language Pathologist | Woodbridge, Virginia
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students across Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge in Prince William County! Make a significant difference in the lives of children and young adults by supporting their communication and language development in a school setting. This assignment begins August 17th, 2026, and continues through June 12th, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of seven hours each weekday (35 hours per week).
Ideal candidates bring a passion for helping students overcome barriers, a collaborative approach, and expertise in school-based speech-language pathology. Onsite work is required, and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs are welcome to apply.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility
- Experience or strong knowledge of school-based SLP practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic about working onsite with students and faculty
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational teams to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions, maintain records, and contribute to IEP development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to school initiatives
- Adapt therapy to diverse student populations and manage a dynamic caseload
