Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP licensure in New Mexico (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Ability to organize and manage a varied caseload efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy to students individually and in groups
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations for classroom strategies
- Deliver training and resources to staff as needed
