Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable working with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students’ unique needs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services in accordance with school, district, and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and updated reports
- Engage in professional development and stay current with best practices in school speech-language pathology
