Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ communication and language development as part of a dedicated school team near Los Angeles. This full-time contract position offers Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) the chance to serve a diverse student population across multiple school sites, all within a commutable distance capped at 20 miles or an hour’s drive. You’ll work alongside passionate educators, with the focus on assessment, direct therapy, and collaborative support—letting you do what you do best without the burden of case management duties.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP License
- Valid CTC document on file (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
- ASHA CCC preferred; Clinical Fellows considered if supervision is in place
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly valued, but not required
- Strong documentation, assessment, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students, generally serving between 55-60 on your caseload
- Travel to assigned schools (typically 1-4 sites, average of 2)
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with campus-based teams and families to support student outcomes
- Prepare assessment materials (with reimbursement provided for related expenses)
- Maintain thorough records to support compliance and student progress
