School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Whittier, California
Step into an impactful school-based opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the LA area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, on-site contract position places you where your expertise can make a difference—delivering dedicated speech and language therapy to K-12 students across a select number of schools (typically 1-4, with an average of 2 locations). Commutes are capped: your daily drive will not exceed one hour or 20 miles from your assigned campus after orientation.
In this role, you’ll provide direct speech services to caseloads of 55-60 students, conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with teachers and on-site case managers to support student growth. Licensed Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply, provided a supervisor arrangement is confirmed. No SLPA roles are being considered. Assessment materials will be reimbursed (please plan for up to $2500).
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP license
- Valid CTC document (preliminary or clear SLP credential, or Certificate of Clearance)
- Experience with school-aged children preferred
- Must be available for full-time, on-site work between 7:30am and 4:00pm
- CF candidates welcome only if supervision is already arranged
- Proven ability to travel between schools within a limited commuting radius
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to a diverse K-12 student population
- Complete evaluations and maintain accurate documentation
- Work within a multidisciplinary team alongside existing case managers
- Participate in meetings and collaborate with faculty and families
