School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Torrance, California
Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting students in a vibrant southern California school district. This is an on-site, full-time contract role beginning August 11, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027. Candidates can expect a consistent 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm), providing essential speech and language services to a diverse caseload.
You’ll serve between one and four campuses (usually two), each located within a guaranteed one-hour or 20-mile commute. Your role will be focused on direct intervention—not on case management, as each campus takes care of those duties. Caseloads typically range from 55–60 students, covering a variety of age groups.
Qualifications:
- Active, valid California SLP license
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CTC document on file (preliminary/clear SLP credential or Certificate of Clearance)
- ASHA certification (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status; CFs considered only with supervision in place
- Experience in school-based speech therapy preferred
- Assessment skills across a range of disorders and age levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services
- Collaborate with campus case managers, teachers, and families
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation
- Travel between assigned school sites as needed
- Maximize student outcomes through evidence-based practices
