School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Long Beach, California

Step into an exciting opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting school-aged children in the Los Angeles area. This full-time, on-site contract position is perfect for SLP professionals eager to make a significant impact while enjoying the vibrancy of Southern California. Your workday will run from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday, from August 11, 2026, to June 4, 2027.
You’ll support a diverse student population across one to four campuses, all within a manageable commute—never more than 20 miles or an hour from your home base. With caseloads averaging 55-60 students, you’ll focus on evaluation and intervention—case management responsibilities remain with separate campus staff, allowing you time to focus on what you do best.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Active California SLP license.
- Valid CTC document (preliminary/clear SLP credential or Certificate of Clearance).
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome if supervision is arranged in advance—no SLPA candidates at this time.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Previous school-based experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to K-12 students.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address communication needs.
- Collaborate with dedicated case managers and multidisciplinary teams at each campus.
- Flexible travel to assigned school sites (1-4 locations; average 2).
- Maintain thorough documentation in line with district requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent consultations as needed.
